Choctaw Websites had its official ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, July 28, 2023. Located at the Choctaw Nation Community Center in McAlester, OK, the groundbreaking was represented by members of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma as well as members of the press and local business community.
“We’re so grateful for all the support we receive from the Choctaw Nation Small Business Development program and the support of our clients, friends, and family!” says Sash Johnson, founder of Choctaw Websites. “Our goal is to help other businesses in the Choctaw Nation grow and become successful!”
Sash Johnson is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, having descended from Choctaw natives that walked the Trail of Tears in the 1800s when her ancestors were relocated from Mississippi to Oklahoma.
“I’m so proud to be a part of this community!” Sash goes on to say. “The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma have been incredibly supportive of its members that I want to do my part and give back.”

Choctaw Websites was founded in 2020 by Sash Johnson and Steve Johnson, two long time veterans in the publishing and marketing industry. Sash got her start as a writer for numerous magazines including Mademoiselle, Country Review, Menifee 24/7, 951 Magazine, Women Riders Now, and many others. She published three books, conducted numerous seminars, and has been featured in several podcasts. Steve Johnson got started with computers since he was a teenager in the 1980s, eventually going to work for three different software companies. He started his own Internet publishing business, “Clear Digital Media, Inc.” in 2005, and helped co-founded Too Much Tina, a digital marketing agency.
